Scooter Board Positions

To make these ideas even better, there are several positions that can be used on a scooter board to engage different muscle groups and promote different movements. Here are some common scooter board positions:

  1. Prone (lying on stomach): This position involves lying face down on the scooter board with hands and feet touching the ground. This position engages the upper and lower back muscles, as well as the arms and legs, and is great for promoting extension and lifting of the head and chest.
  2. Supine (lying on back): This position involves lying on the back with hands and feet touching the ground. This position engages the core muscles, as well as the legs and arms, and is great for promoting balance and stability.
  3. Sitting: This position involves sitting on the scooter board with legs straight out in front and hands on the ground for support. This position engages the core muscles, as well as the legs and arms, and is great for promoting balance and coordination.
  4. Kneeling: This position involves kneeling on the scooter board with hands on the ground for support. This position engages the core muscles, as well as the legs and arms, and is great for promoting balance and stability.
  5. Single Leg Balance: This position involves placing one foot on the scooter board and one foot on the ground for support. This position engages the core muscles and lower extremity muscles. It is fantastic for balance and coordination.
