Baseball Brain Breaks

It’s baseball season!    When working with my kids during therapy sessions I try to find activities that interest them or catch their attention.  I’ve found with my sports crazy kids, relating sports to any kind of strengthening, range of motion, cardiovascular exercise etc. to the task can make it a whole lot more fun.  Since we are in the heart of baseball season I decided to start off re-organizing and getting together some fun baseball brain breaks/movement cards to use with the kids to encourage all sorts of activity.  Really, it doesn’t even have to be baseball season for my sports lovers to enjoy these baseball themed brain breaks!

Use these baseball themed brain breaks in the classroom, for preschool gross motor, PT, OT, SLP or at home. The kids LOVE the baseball theme. Such great ideas for World Series gross motor and World Series games too!

Baseball Brain Breaks

I tried to organize the movements based on certain activities that baseball players need to do to play in the game, be prepared to play in the game, or celebrate after the game.  The kids are so excited to participate in these different movements when they imagine themselves warming up like baseball players or fielding the ball.
